Ruta A: From Santiago

1.A Traveling from America, Europe, Africa or Asia. If you want to travel to Rapa Nui from your country of origin, you need to travel by air to the city of Santiago of Chile, Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL).
2.A From Santiago of Chile. You need to make a connection (or take a direct flight) to the island, via Latam airlines, from the city of Santiago to Hanga Roa – Rapa Nui, Mataveri International Airport (IPC) (approximately 5 hours of travel).
3.A From the airport to the hotel. A Upon arrival at the Mataveri airport, a transfer will be waiting to take you to the Ohana Hotel, which is 5 only minutes away.

Ruta B: From Polynesia

1.B From your country of origin to Polynesia (Oceanìa & Asia). Book a flight ticket from your home country to Papeete – Tahití, International Airport of Thaití(PPT). Amongst the airlines that cover this destination are: Delta, American Airlines and LATAM.
2.B From Papeete (Tahití). From Polynesia, Travel to Rapa Nui via LATAM airlines (LATAM ONLY). Take the Flight from the city of Papeete – Taihití, International Airport of Tahití (PPT), destination Hanga Roa – Rapa Nui, Mataveri International Airport (IPC). Approximately 5 hours of travel.
3.B From the airport to the hotel. A Upon arrival at the Mataveri airport, a transfer will be waiting to take you to the Ohana Hotel, which is 5 only minutes away.

Travel Tips

The only airline that offers regular flights to the island is LATAM. Peak season extends from December to March, with February being the month with the highest demand, since the annual festival “Tapati Rapa Nui” or “Rapa Nui Week”, develops during the first fortnight.

If you want to know the most emblematic and traditional places of Rapa Nui, consider a stay between 3 and 5 nights. This way you can discover its main archaeological and cultural attractions, share with its people and perform outdoor activities.

The Rapa Nui National Park occupies more than 40% of the territory, and includes tourist and archaeological sites such as:

ORONGO: It is a ceremonial citadel with ancestral constructions and petroglyphs, built at the top of the Rano Kau volcano.

ANA KAI TANGATA: Roughly translated into English as “cave that eats men,” recollects the cannibalism lived at some point in Rapa Nui history. In this place you can see spectacular rock paintings.

AHU AKIVI: An imposing altar with seven Moais, located at the center of the island.
